I graduated from Mountain Home High School in Mountain Home, AR. After high school, I attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR, where I achieved a Bachelors Degree in Speech Pathology. I continued after graduation and earned a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology in 1985. I continued coursework while beginning my professional career. I attained continuing education hours to earn certifications in Special Education and Special Education Administration throughout my tenure.

I began teaching in Sikeston this school year, as I have recently moved to MO. I am teaching MAP A English/Language Arts, and MAP A Science. I also teach Homebound Instruction.
I began my career in 1985. I have held several different positions throughout my tenure including Speech Pathologist, Special Education Resource, Assistant Principal, Special Education Director, Special Education Co-Teacher.
I have two sons, Trent and Benson. Trent is a veteran of the Navy and works at Nucor. He is married and has two dogs. My son, Benson, works at BNSF. He has not started a family as of yet. I am not married, but have two dogs, Sadie and Sassafras. I recently moved to Portageville from Blytheville, AR.
In my spare time, I like to swim and run. I also enjoy reading if I have to stay indoors.
