OCTOBER Scholarships
1. Deadline: October 6, 2019 . AES Scholarship . Visit the website http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm . Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. How to Apply--Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What  elationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey? Amount of award: $500.00. Submit essay to: Submit essay to  cholarships@aesengineers.com
2. Deadline: October 18, 2019. LendEDU Scholarship . Criteria are 2.5 GPA, current senior or college student, and essay is required. Apply online at:  https://lendedu.com/blog/scholarship-application/
3. Deadline: October 25, 2019. The Horatio Alger Scholarship. Must be planning to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (you may start at a 2 year institution and transfer to a 4 year institution). Must demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required). Must be involved in co-curricular and community service activities, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity and a 2.0 GPA. Apply online at scholars.horatoalger.org .
4. Deadline: October 31, 2019. Coca Cola Scholars Program. For high school seniors who have a 3.0 GPA or
higher. This award recognizes students’ ability to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a
significant impact on their schools and communities. Apply online at

NOVEMBER Scholarships
1. Deadline: November 1, 2019. Ron Brown Scholar Program. For academically talented, highly motivated African American students who are seniors in high school who plan to pursue undergraduate degrees full-time. The Ron Brown Scholar Program has two deadlines for applications: November 1 - application will be considered for the Ron Brown Scholars Program AND forwarded to a select and limited number of additional scholarship providers. January 9 - final postmarked deadline in order to be considered ONLY for the Ron Brown Scholars Program. For more information go to www.ronbrown.org.
2. Deadline: November 5, 2019. 2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. For students in grades 5-12 who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Applications are available at spirit.prudential.com and nassp.org/spirit .
3. Deadline: November 15, 2019. The Hagan Scholarship . For high school students in need of financial assistance in order to attend college. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and 23 or higher on the ACT. There are several other requirements listed, please go to their website: www.hsfmo.org to find the application and for more information. Each Hagan Scholarship will pay the unmet financial need of the recipient, up to $5,000 per semester.
4. Deadline: November 5, 2019 . The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship . The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four –year scholarship to the highest-rated applicants in the 2017 competition. Applications will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need. 5. Deadline: November 30, 2019 . Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship . Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories, and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or Undocumented). Recipients must also be available to attend the 37th USHLI National Conference in Chicago, IL, from February 14-17, 2019. 6. Deadline: November 30, 2019. Sixt Scholarship Program. Criteria: Have a minimum 3.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale, Graduating high school senior in the USA, academic year 2019/2020, Plan to enroll in a full time 2 or 4 year university, Financial need will be considered.
