Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. How to Apply--Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?   4. Deadline: October 25, 2018. The Horatio Alger Scholarship. Must be planning to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (you may start at a 2 year institution and transfer to a 4 year institution). Must demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required). Must be involved in co-curricular and community service activities, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity and a 2.0 GPA. Apply online at scholars.horatoalger.org.

  5. Deadline: October 31, 2018. Coca Cola Scholars Program.  For high school seniors who have a 3.0 GPA or higher. This award recognizes students’ ability to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. Apply online at www.coca-colascholarsfoundation.org.

  6. Deadline: October 31, 2018. Tobacco Free Life Scholarship. Tobacco-Free Life is offering scholarship awards to the students who best demonstrate their skills in encouraging smokers to break free of their addiction by creating a well-researched and evidence-based paper offering advice to tobacco users.   7. Deadline: October 31, 2018. MASFAP Who’s Making a Difference Scholarship. The Missouri Association of Student Financial Aid Personnel is offering a $1000 scholarship to any 2018 graduating senior from a Missouri high school planning to attend a private or public 2 or 4 year institution or vocational-technical school in Missouri if fall 2018. You must write an essay that describes a person in your life who is inspiring you to fulfill your post-secondary education dreams. NOVEMBER

 
  1. Deadline: November 1, 2018. Ron Brown Scholar Program. For academically talented, highly motivated African American students who are seniors in high school who plan to pursue undergraduate degrees full-time. The Ron Brown Scholar Program has two deadlines for applications: November 1- application will be considered for the Ron Brown Scholars Program AND forwarded to a select and limited number of additional scholarship providers. January 9- final postmarked deadline in order to be considered ONLY for the Ron Brown Scholars Program. For more information go to www.ronbrown.org.

  2. Deadline: November 6, 2018. 2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. For students in grades 5-12 who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Applications are available at spirit.prudential.com and nassp.org/spirit.

  3. Deadline: November 12, 2018. Anne Ford Scholarship. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and a documentation of an identified learning disability. Award is $10,000 to be split up into $2,500 annually. Application can be found online at http://www.ncld.org.

  4. Deadline: November 12, 2018. Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship. The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship is a one-time $2,500 scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability (LD) and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with LD and/or ADHD in the fall.   5. Deadline: November 15, 2018. The Hagan Scholarship. For high school students in need of financial assistance in order to attend college. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and 23 or higher on the ACT. There are several other requirements listed, please go to their website: www.hsfmo.org to find the application and for more information. Each Hagan Scholarship will pay the unmet financial need of the recipient, up to $5,000 per semester.

  6. Deadline: November 20, 2018. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA or above, receive a 26 or higher on the ACT or 1200 or above on the SAT. The applicant must demonstrate unmet financial need. The consider applicants with family income up to $95,000, however, the majority of the recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell Grant.   7. Deadline: November 15, 2018. The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship. The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four –year scholarship to the highest-rated applicants in the 2017 competition. Applications will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need. 1. Deadline: December 31, 2019. Imagine America Scholarship. For seniors who plan to pursue a career and technical education, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, financial need, and demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year.
