  1. Deadline: February 8, 2019. Dr. Darrell “Jack” Holley/MUSIC Scholarship . Six $2000 scholarships will beawarded to students who graduate in 2019. Open to all high school seniors but only ONE application will
    be sent in from Sikeston High School. The application can be found outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: February 15, 2019 . William H. Cooper Leadership Scholarship. This is a leadership based scholarship for undergraduates who desire to further their education in a business related field. One high school senior, who is a registered students at a participating high school within an First State Community Bank market, will be selected each spring. Application is available outside the counselor’s office or you can go online to fscb.com to download an application.

  1. Deadline: February 15, 2019 . Highway Hero Honoree Scholarship. For seniors graduating in 2019. The Division 10 Highway Employees’ Credit Union is awarding three $10,000 scholarship to eligible Division 10 members. Qualified applicants meet the following criteria: A member of the Division 10 Highway Employees’ Credit Union and a current high school senior. If a senior is not currently a Division 10 Credit Union member, he/she can determine eligibility for membership by visiting our webpage at www.div10cu.com and viewing the Membership link under the About Us drop down menu. Information can be found outside the counselor’s office as well.
  1. Deadline: February 15, 2019 . Missouri Corn Growers Association and Corn Merchandising Council . For high school seniors and college juniors. Applicants must be Missouri residents from a Missouri farm or rural area. You must be pursuing a degree in agronomy or a related agriculture field. Application can be found outside the counselor’s office or online at http://www.mocorn.org/resources/education/scholarships/.
  1. Deadline: February 28, 2019 . HSF/Procter & Gamble Company Scholarship . Must be of Hispanic heritage, be a US citizen or legal permanent resident, minimum 3.0 GPA, major in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics field, must file a FAFSA.   1. Deadline: February 28, 2019 . MAMIC Scholarship . The Missouri Association of Mutual Insurance Companies is awarding eight $1000 scholarships to Missouri high school seniors. Applicant must be accepted by an accredited college, university, community college or vocational school within the state of Missouri. Consideration will be given to need, grades, activities, and essay. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.

  1. Deadline: March 1, 2019 . American Chemical Society Scholarship. Minimum 3.0 GPA, Must be African-American, Hispanic/Latino or native American students only, demonstrate financial need, majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or chemically-related science.   1. Deadline: March 1, 2019 . Missouri Chamber of Commerce STEM Scholarship. 10 recipients of a $1000 scholarship will be given out. For seniors who are planning to go to a 2 year, 4, year or technical school in the Fall of 2019. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of passion for STEM learning, advancing society through STEM, high school activity involvement and scholarship.   1. Deadline: March 1, 2019 . Edwin J. Masters Memorial Scholarship . For Sikeston High School seniors who plan on majoring in college as a pre-med student with the ultimate goal of becoming a physician. Application can be found outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 1, 2019 . MOACAC Braxton Rethwisch Scholarship . The Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) offers this scholarship to high school seniors who have a 2.5 GPA or higher and must be enrolled as a full-time student at a MOACAC member postsecondary institutions.   1. Deadline: March 1, 2019. Bloom Therapy Services, LLC Scholarship . For Sikeston High School seniors who are pursuing a career in one of the following areas: Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Orientation & Mobility. Award is $500. The application can be found outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 1, 2019 . DevTeam.Space STEM Scholarship . $1000 scholarship, In order to apply for the spring 2019 scholarship, applicants must submit a 500+ word essay on the following topic: “How STEM careers Will Affect The World Over The Next 50 Years?” Go to the following website: https://www.devteam.space/scholarship/ .
  1. Deadline: March 1, 2019 , Project 21 Essay/Poster/Video Scholarship. There are 6 scholarships available by completing this scholarship application. If you choose to participate in this scholarship, there is a requirement of doing something for each between 12/1 and 2/15. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 6, 2019 . Southeast Missouri Superintendents Association Scholarship Application. Award is $750. For high school seniors enrolled in a school district that is a member of the Southeast Missouri Superintendents Association. Must be planning to enroll in an undergraduate program for the upcoming fall semester as a first year freshman. Must intend to teach K-12 upon completion of an undergraduate program. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 8, 2019. 2019 Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship . The applicant must be planning on a major in an area that will lead to a career in banking.   1. Deadline: March 15, 2019 . Shell Oil Company Technical Scholarship . Must be a graduating high school senior enrolling in engineering or geosciences. Upon successful completion of first year studies and other criteria established by Shell, the recipient may be eligible to apply to receive a four-year renewable award of $5,000 annually.   1. Deadline: March 15, 2019. Southeast Missouri LASE Scholarship Application . Award is $500 to the college of the recipient’s choice. The student must be pursuing a degree in the area of Special Education. The scholarship will apply toward the cost of tuition, fees, books, and/or other costs associated with a student’s education. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 15, 2019 . Charles E. Kruse Agricultural Scholarship . Applicants must be Missouri
    residents and they, their parents, or guardians must hold a current Farm Bureau membership in
    Missouri. Student must be declaring a major in the agriculture field. Applications are available outside

  1. Deadline: March 15, 2019 . MFA Foundation Scholarship . Applicant’s interest in furthering his/her education by engaging in studies relating to agriculture or other fields of study that benefit rural life; applicant’s reputation for good citizenship and good moral character; leadership in school, church or community activities; financial need, sources of income and willingness to work and satisfactory academic progress. Applications are located outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 17, 2019. Scholarships for Survivors . This is a group of scholarships for current patients or survivors of cancer or another life-threatening disease, 2 recommendations, transcripts needed, and essay. Application can be found at http://www.patientadvocate.org/index.php?p=69 .
  1. Deadline: March 21, 2019 . Midwest Affordable Housing Educational Opportunities . They are providing five $3000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in Affordable Housing Developments or Public Housing Authorities and plan to attend a community college, a four year college/university or qualified vocational/technical school. Must have a 2.75 GPA. Applications can be found outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 22, 2019 . Kiwanis Club of Sikeston, Missouri. For a Sikeston High School senior who will be enrolled full time in a college or university. The scholarship is granted based upon financial need and scholastic ability. Applications are outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 22, 2019 . Shelter Insurance Foundation Scholarship. For graduating seniors at SHS. For any accredited college or university and any course of study you desire to pursue leading to an academic degree. Applications are outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Daughters of Sunset Scholarship . Must be a Sikeston High School senior who has been accepted/enrolled in a college/university, must enroll as a full time student with 12 hours or more, and must maintain a 2.5 GPA.. Applications are located outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019. Sikeston Community Teachers Association . Applicants must be a SHS Senior who plans to major in Education, must have 3.0 GPA or higher, supply an ACT score, and good character. Applications are located outside the counselor’s office and it is also fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Sikeston Bulldog Booster Club Scholarship . Must be accepted at a college or junior college and participate in high school sport or activity. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019. H. Garwood Sharp, Jr. and Ruth Felker Sharp Scholarship. To provide assistance to a SHS seniors desiring to attend a college, university, or technical school. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Paul and Regina Meyer Scholarship Trust . For Sikeston High School graduates who will be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program at any accredited college or university in Missouri. Scholarships will be awarded with preference to financial need then scholastic ability. The recipient must be of good moral character. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Joseph J. Mayer Education Trust . For Sikeston High School seniors who plan to attend a college or technical school. Applicants must have a 2.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, good character, talents and test scores. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office or it is a fillable application on your ipad.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Imogene Ruth Albritton Mayer Education Trust . For Sikeston High School seniors who plan to attend a college or technical school in Missouri. Applicants must have a 2.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, good character, talents and test scores. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office or it is a fillable application on your ipad.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Friends of the Program . Applicant must be a graduation senior with at least a 2.0 GPA, must be an athlete, or member of an athletic team, must be accepted by or enrolled full time in a college or university, display good character. A character reference letter is needed. Financial need will be considered. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019. Mary Margaret Story Yarbrough Memorial Scholarship . Must be a graduating senior girl at SHS, must have participated in school sports, be a good citizen, and have a B average. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Lions Club of Sikeston, Missouri Frank Ferrell Memorial Scholarship. The Sikeston Lions Frank Ferrell Memorial Scholarship is presented annually to a SHS graduating senior who will be enrolled full time in a college or university. The scholarship is granted based on financial need and scholastic ability.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Charles M. Reaves Memorial Scholarship . For students who attended Morehouse Elementary and have a financial need to further their education by attending an accredited college, university, trade or technical school. Applications are outside the counselor’s office or it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Matt Barnes Memorial Scholarship . For students accepted for enrollment and who will be in regular full-time attendance at a public college or university. Award is $500. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.
  1. Deadline: March 29, 2019 . Bruce Hampton Memorial Scholarship . For students accepted for enrollment and who will be in regular full-time attendance at a public college or university located in the state of Missouri. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office and it is fillable.

  1. Deadline: March 31, 2019 . Missouri Insurance Education Foundation Scholarship for High School Seniors. Applicant must be a Missouri resident, graduating high school seniors interested in or intending to pursue an insurance, risk management or actuarial science course of study in a Missouri college or university.   1. Deadline: March 31, 2019 . Sikeston R6 Schools Grow Your Own Teachers Murray Sullivan Scholarship . (2) $500 renewable scholarships. Requirements to apply: Must be a Sikeston High School senior, Must be a member of the Grow Your Own Teachers program, Must be planning to enroll in an undergraduate program for the upcoming fall semester and major in education, and Must intend to teach pre-k through 12 upon completion of an undergraduate program. Application available on Grow Your Own Teachers Google Classroom. Must be submitted by March 31st.
  1. Deadline: March 31, 2019 . Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture Vocational Scholarship . Four $500 scholarship to students pursuing appropriate certification in fields related to and supportive of agriculture. They, their parents, or guardians must hold a current Farm Bureau membership.   1. Deadline: March 31, 2019 . The Masonic Scholarship Fund of Missouri, Inc . One application for 3 separate scholarships. The application is located outside the counselor’s office.
    a. Masonic Merit Scholarship A $1,000/year scholarship available to students in any degree program.
    b. Ruth Lutes Bachmann Scholarship A $1,000/year scholarship for students seeking a degree in the education or healthcare fields.
    c. Samuel Smith Stewart Masonic Scholarship A $10,000/year scholarship available to students in any degree program.

  1. Deadline: April 1, 2019 . Sikeston Public Schools Credit Union Scholarship . Award is $4000 (8 semesters at $500 each) to a high school student who plans to continue his or her education. Application must be turned in to the SPS Credit Union or Mrs. Thornbrough’s office on or before April 1st. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: April 1, 2019 . Southeast Region Teachers Association Student Scholarship. For seniors in the southeast region who are members of FTA. Candidate must present evidence of good character, scholarship, an aptitude for college. Student must enroll in a Missouri college or university in preparation for the teaching profession.   1. Deadline: April 1, 2019 . Becca’s Closet Scholarship . There are 3 types of non-renewable scholarships available. The purpose of these scholarships is to encourage students who have demonstrated outstanding community service in high school to continue their efforts throughout their lives and to inspire others to do the same. The application can be found outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: April 2, 2019 . Walmart Dependent Scholarship. For students who are dependent of Wal-Mart employees, minimum 2.0 GPA. Apply online at http://programs.applyists.com/walmartdependent/ .
  1. Deadline: April 5, 2019 . American Legion Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship . Award is based on athletic, scholastic and leadership abilities. The nominee should be deeply involved in community and school activities. Must be a descendent of a veteran having served 90 days on active duty in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard. Only one student from our high school can be selected. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: April 15, 2019 . Legacy Scholarship . To qualify and apply, you must be a current high school senior and/or accepted at or attending an institution of higher education. You must also answer YES to the following 2 statements: a legal parent died while serving on active duty on or after 9/11/01 or a legal parent is a Post-9/11 veteran of the U.S. military who has been given a disability rating of 50% of higher by the Veterans Administration.   1. Deadline: April 15, 2019 . rootED Undergraduate Scholarship . 9 awards will be given out for students graduating from 14 high schools in our area. Award is $10,000 annually. Students must be planning to enroll in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited, nonprofit college or university. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and demonstrate financial need.   1. Deadline: April 20, 2019 . American Legion Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship . Must be planning on majoring in education. Must be the descendent of a veteran having served 90 days on active duty in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the U.S. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: April 20. 2019 . American Legion Joseph J. Frank Scholarship . Must have attended a full session of Missouri Boys/Girls State, must be the descendent of a veteran having served 90 days on active duty in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the U.S. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: April 20, 2019 . American Legion Lillie Lois Ford Scholarship Fund . Must have attended Missouri Boys or Girls State or Missouri Cadet Patrol Academy. Must be the descendent of a veteran having served 90 days on active duty in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the U.S. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: April 20, 2019 . American Legion M.D. Jack Murphy Memorial Nurses Training Fund . Must be planning on a career as a Registered Nurse and must have graduated in the top forty percent of their high school class. Must be a descendent of a veteran having served 90 days on active duty in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
  1. Deadline: April 22, 2019 . 2019 Student-View Scholarship Program . $11,000 in scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four year college, community/junior college or career school. Simply log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area.
