December Scholarships
Deadline: Dec 1st.. 2024-25 Visionary Scholarship. Multiple winners are chosen. Awards range from $1000 to $2500 each. Applications are online at: https://americancollegefoundation.org/.
Deadline: Dec. 1st. The Hagan Scholarship. For high school students in need of financial assistance in order to attend college. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. There are several other requirements listed, please go to their website: www.hsfmo.org to find the application and for more information.
Deadline: Dec. 1. Ron Brown Scholar Program. For academically talented, highly motivated African American students who are seniors in high school who plan to pursue undergraduate degrees full-time. Award is $10,000 annually. For more information go to www.ronbrown.org.
Deadline: December 13, 2024. Kiwanis-Earl Collins Foundation Scholarship. For high school seniors that are active members of the Sikeston High School Key Club. .This award is $1000. Applications are outside the counselor’s office.
Deadline: Dec. 15. North American Van Lines Logistics Scholarship. For students who are enrolled or enrolling as a full time student of an accredited college/university within the U.S. for completion of an undergraduate degree in Logistics or equivalent field. 3- $1000 awards. Deadline: Dec. 16. Burger King Scholarship. Application opened Oct 15. For high school seniors who have a GPA of 2.5 and plan to enroll full-time for the 2022-23 academic year at an accredited 2-4 year school. Apply online at: https://bk-scholars.com/
January Scholarships
Deadline: January 9, 2025. The Jackie Robinson Foundation. Must be a graduating, minority high school senior, plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution. You must show leadership potential, demonstrate a dedication to community service, financial need, and a composite ACT score of 21 or higher. Application is available at www.JackieRobinson.org.
Deadline: January 15, 2025. MENSA Scholarship. Write an essay of no more than 550 words explaining their career, academic and/or vocational goals and how you plan to achieve those goals. Go online to apply at: http://www.mensafoundation.org/what-we-do/scholarships/us-scholarship-process/
Deadline: January 15, 2025. Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship. Competition open to all high school seniors who are U.S. citizens and are planning careers of service to the United States in local, state, or federal government. All awards are for one year. Deadline: January 16, 2025. DEWALT Trades Scholarship. For high school seniors or current college students, planning to enroll or are enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited 2 year or vocational-technical school and planning to major in trade construction, industrial, motor/power sector, mechanics, or technology degree. Deadline: January 17, 2025. United States JCI Foundation Scholarship. Each year $1,500 grants will be awarded to graduating high school seniors in the United States, who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. They must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. The application must be typed and include a transcript, up to 3 letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. February Scholarships
Deadline: February 3, 2025. SEMO Electric Scholarship. The one-time scholarship is open to any high school senior whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are a SEMO Electric Cooperative member. You must have a 2.5 GPA and attend an accredited college, university or vocational school. Applications are available outside the counselor’s office.
Deadline: February 3, 2025. William H. Cooper Leadership Scholarship. This is a leadership based scholarship for undergraduates who desire to further their education in a business related field. One high school senior, who is a registered student at a participating high school within a First State Community Bank market, will be selected each spring.
