Class Goals:

  1. To provide educational instruction and to assist students in succeeding in their academics and post secondary plans.

  2. To provide educational instruction to address students' individual goals to succeed in their post secondary plans.

  3. To build meaningful, caring relationships among students, their peers and with staff/faculty at SHS.

  4. To assist and enable students to become fully functional individuals in the work force and society.  

All Classes

  1. Complete assignments on time.

  2. If an absence occurs; it is the  student’s responsibility to ask for missed assignments.

  3. Class binders will be kept and checked for organizational skills

  4. No homework will be sent home for students to complete; there will be efficient time given inside the classroom to complete assignments.

  5. Daily homework checks will be done.

  6. Students will receive points for staying on task and focused on their work.

 

PROCEDURES FOR ENTERING THE CLASSROOM:

 

  1. Do not stand or wait in the hallway.

  2. Enter the classroom quietly without running or pushing.

  3. Take your seat.

  4. Start your work you have or that is listed on the board.

  5. Wait for further instructions from the teacher. 

 

CLASS EXPECTATIONS

 

    *Be on time, on task and prepared to learn each day.

    *Have pencil/pen, paper and books with you.

    *Respect the teachers, the classroom and other students.

    *Be responsible for your own work.

    *Clean up after yourself.

    *Keep all electronics(IPads and Cell Phones) PUT AWAY unless teacher 

    approved.

TARDY TO CLASS

    1st Tardy -     Warning

    2nd Tardy -      Copy the Twelve Tips

    3rd Tardy -     30 Minute Detention

    4th Tardy -     Office referral

CELL PHONE POLICY

    No CELL PHONES

    1st Offense-- Phone will be confiscated and sent to the office for parent pick up.

PASS POLICY

    No student will be allowed out of class without permission from teacher.

CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR 

    Follow all classroom rules.

    1st offense-    Warning

    2nd offense-    Warning - conference with parents

    3rd offense-    Office Referral 

School closure

If school is called off for a day and you receive a message for the student to complete the AMI (Alternate Method of Instruction assignment) please refer to the AMI page on my website.
