I started working for the Sikeston R-6 District and at Sikeston High School at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. This is my eighth year at SHS. I teach Government and World History. I have also taught American History in the past. 

I began my career in education eleven years ago in August of 2009 at Potosi High School. In 2011, I began working for the Bell City R-2 School District. I worked for the Bell City School district until I came to work for the Sikeston R-6 School District in the August of 2015. This year marks my eleventh year in education.

Outside of teaching, my most important job is that of a mother. . We welcomed our daughter, Sadie in March of 2014 and her baby sister, Molly in April of 2I have two wonderful daughters. Molly is three and in preschool and Sadie is eight and in third grade this year. You can hear them singing “The Red and Black” through our house on a regular basis. They love their  Bulldogs! My girls and I are happy to call Sikeston home. 

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and the occasional retail therapy.
