I graduated from Jackson Senior High School in 2010. I attended Southeast Missouri State University from 2011-2015 and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in English Education. I have certification to teach grades 5-12.
This is my first year teaching at the Sikeston R-6 district. I’m very excited to be working at Sikeston High School! I will be teaching CP English I and III.
After graduating from SEMO in 2015, I subbed at multiple districts. I subbed for 8 weeks in a 7th grade English classroom at Cape Junior High. I also subbed for 7 weeks in a Family and Consumer Science class at Meadow Heights. I received my first teaching job in 2016 at Fredericktown High School. I taught two years at Fredericktown, teaching English I and II, Advanced English II, and Drama.
I married my husband, Derek, on October 4th, 2014. We have one son, Dawson, who is one year old. We also have a one year old Golden Retriever, Bailey.
When I am not teaching I love spending time with my family, reading, fishing, and playing music.
