About Our Iron Dawg Weight Training Program

The intent of our program is to assist every one of our athletes in gaining strength, agility, power, and explosiveness.  The lifts, drills, and exercises involved in our year-round program are in no way unique to Sikeston High School.  Every technique that we use to advance our athletes physical strength, quickness, power, and explosiveness is an idea that has been borrowed, researched, and tweaked to match the needs of our own athletes.


Each Cycle or Program will last approximately 10-12 weeks of the school year.  These programs are always subject to change based on our athletes needs.  Our number one concern in the weight room will always be to promote the safety of every athlete involved.  Secondly, we are striving to increase the strength level of our athletes while attempting to mold the absolute best competitors that we can.
