JOSH HOPKINS
I graduated from Jackson High School in 2000. However, I must say that I am glad I am now a Bulldog and not an Indian!
My undergraduate education was completed at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO fall of 2005.
My graduate degree was completed through William Woods University in the fall of 2010.
BS in Education from Culver-Stockton College
MS in Education Administration from William Woods University
I am a member of MSTA (Missouri State Teachers’ Association), SCTA (Sikeston Community Teachers’ Association), NHSSCA (National High School Strength Coaches Association), and MSBCA (Missouri State Baseball Coaches’ Association).
Each year I attend the St. Louis Glazier Football Coaches’ Clinic where I attend sessions devoted to various aspects of the game of football along with several presentations dedicated to maintaining and promoting safe and effective techniques to ensure a successful weight room.
I also attend the MSBCA Clinic yearly where the sessions are centered around various aspects and coaching philosophies concerning the game of baseball.
I am entering my 8th year here at Sikeston and my 5th year as the Weight Training instructor here at the High School.
Previous I taught 5 years at Palmyra, MO and 2 years at Carrollton, MO before coming to Sikeston where I taught 3 years as a PE teacher at Sikeston KDG Center.
My wife MIchelle Hopkins teaches here in Sikeston High School. Michelle and I have 2 children who both attend school here at Sikeston.
When I am not teaching or coaching I love to hunt, fish, camp, golf, bbq, and hang out by the pool. Of course, if there is a baseball or football game on it may be difficult to grab my attention.
