American History Teacher
I grew up and went to high school in Potosi, Missouri. In this small town, I graduated with around 150 students.
After high school, I began pursuing my degree in nursing at Mineral Area College. After much deliberation on what made me feel self-fulfilled and happy, I decided to change majors and schools. I began going to Southeast Missouri State my sophomore year of college. At Southeast Missouri State, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minor in both mathematics and social studies.
This is going to be my second year at Sikeston High School and my second year teaching American History. I will also be serving as the head coach for both the Girls’ and Boys’ Tennis teams!
Currently, I am not married and do not have any children. However, this does not mean my family is empty. I have three brothers, two sister, and two nephews. I find myself fortunate to have and maintain the relationship with my siblings that I do.
Also, during December 2016, I adopted the most lovey puppy in the world. This little guy’s name is Mushu. Although, he frequently causes mayhem in my household, I feel blessed to have him in my life!
When I was in high school, I was very involved in sports, clubs, and organizations. Fortunately, I am able to still participate in activities such as volleyball, tennis, painting, and climbing. I hope to continuously become more active in the Sikeston School District as well as the community.
